 | Hi again! No, he didn't pass out...he just held his breath to the point where we had to blow quickly into his mouth to help him catch his breath. He usually does it when he is having a temper tantrum (which is rare) or when he is very tired. We were visiting family and that is the first time that they saw him do it. Many of them said that their children did the same thing and to ignore it. I just can't ignore it. He is doing it for a reason and I do not want him to pass out like everyone says. They all say that once he passes out, he will learn not to do it again. I really don't want to take that chance. He was doing great until our trip, which was overwhelming for him. He was in the car for 9 hours and then met so many family members for the first time. He was excited and just didn't want to sit and relax. In my opinion, that is what most kids are like. I know that not all kids hold their breath to get what they want, but some have extreme temper tantrums and hurt themselves or others in the process. I do believe that he will out grow this. Like you said...thank God for being a stay at home mom. It is truly the best Job I ever had! I use to be a manager of 45 people, but managing this 1 little guy tires me out a lot more than that ever did! I just can't imagine adding another one or two to the mix. Are you having a big birthday party for your little guy? He must love having his birthday the week after Halloween. First candy, then presents!! Anyway, I'm sorry this is so long, but I guess I had to vent. Thanks a bunch and have a great Halloween and birthday celebration! |
