how should i spank my kids

i have 3 kids ages 14 12 and 8 i am a single mom and i have just been grounding/taking away prevliges when they are misbehaving but it dosent do any good i dont know what else to do so i have decided to spank them i told them all when they are bad i will spank them but i dont know where when how long with what on the bare or underware or jeans i could use some advice on what other parents do. that would be great thanks alot
