SUBJECT: Five year old - loner in school and not eating
My five year old step-daughter recently started kindergarten. She has always seemed like a fairly social little girl however her teachers recently told her father and mother that she is considered a "loner" in school. She won't interact with other children and only wants to talk to the teachers. She also sits by herself at lunch and isn't eating her lunch which leaves her drained of energy at the end of the day. What could be wrong? Is she depressed? Is this related to her parent's divorce? I'm concerned about her and her father and I don't know what to do to help her. Any ideas??
