SUBJECT: Non accredited Montessori Schools
I am looking into Montessori for my 3 1/2 yr old daughter. I undrestand there are (at least) 2 accrediting agencies- AMI and AMS. None of the "Montessori" schools in my area are on their lists. Is this bad? Also, what should I be looking for at these schools in my area? And how does one aquire statistics comparing the schools with the local public schools (I live in NYC)?
