AUTHOR: Nicole77 | | | I disagree. My son started to be a biter around 13-14months and I very gently tapped his mouth after he tried to bite me. He cried, more because his feelings were hurt than his mouth hurting, but the next time he tried to bite I put my finger to his mouth and said no biting and he hasn't tried it again. He only cried for a few seconds. I held him and reassured him of my love but that he was doing a bad thing that made mommy unhappy and he does not bite anymore. Kids need boundaries and discipline. good luck | |  | |
