| | | | | | | | AUTHOR: | benjmommy | DATE: 10/23/03 1:16pm | | SUBJECT: |  reflux, teething, or food allergy..? who knows... | | | my almost 6 mos son has been losing sleep at nights waking every hour or so. he is definitely teething, and he started on solids not too long ago, and my doc thinks he's been losing sleep due to reflux! he was prescribed zantacs. ever since on zantacs, he's been sleeping a little better, not great though. gosh.. i really don't know.. doc don't think he's doing that from teething b/c his gums don't look sore, and she doens't think it's food allergy. he was fine up until 2weeks ago. why would he all of a sudden develop reflux?? he's been spitting up a lot more and he does arch his back but he always arched his back even before this problem, and he seems to poop more frequently (3x a day). i'm reluctant to offer meds to an infant whose diagnosis is not definite either.. but zantac did seem to work. or is it better now b/c his teething pain has dissipated? or is it b/c i started giving him rice cereal?? gosh who knows... should i stop giving him zantacs and see if he does ok without it? any advise? | |  | |
