I really believe you're doing all you possibly can; I personally would do as my mother did when she raised my nephew with the same difficulties. She would expect him to work on homework for 15 minutes at a time, let him get up to play or watch tv for 15 minutes, and then back to homework, taking turns until they could get it done. She talked to the teachers to keep homework to a minimum so he could do his work at school on the computer, which he really liked the computer.

Don't fight too much with him because it just frustrates the both of you. This is such a losing battle. Family needs to be family, not war. My mother would talk all the time about what a handful he was, and really had to let him physically run off the energy and curiosity.
