 | After reading your responses to your quest of your bed back, I see not to many answers but defintatly find your not alone. This took a little bit but it works, and we are at 2 1/2 yrs. I took a regular single bed, put an extra mattress on it (so its higher, the bunk idea sort of seems neat to them to climb in) put up a side rail and pushed bed up to wall. Lined the wall with kingsized pillows and the head of bed. Put a sleeping bad, nylon one because he doesn't like getting stuck in the sheets, this allows him to move around very easy, I don't zip but a quarter or so of it up. He's got the squashiest down pillow with a flannel pillowcase ( and he knows when its not his pillow or case). I've strung colored xmas lights(little ones) up around the pictures and door frame, its happy but not to babyish. He's got a cd/radio clock on bedside where we put in a lullabye cd (same one over and over) for nap time and bed. He does sometimes still like his sippy cup with milk/pedisure, and he likes for me to lay with him but I get up and out with no problem, he gets up and comes out of room calling me (not frantic, very peaceful) and I make sure I go right to him. Needless to say he'll go to his comfy room and curl up in his bed. Hope this helps, look forward to talking with all again with all our issues, I'm certain we all have plenty. Keep Smiling |
