SUBJECT: Can't find Dr. for 3yr old with ADHD
My three year old just got diagnosed with ADHD. Its been a long road to get here since no dr would even listen to me at first, untill he began to get aggressive and violent. Within the first week of preschool he got kicked out for hitting.He's constantly hitting the tv and banging on the walls. He breaks everything, tears his room apart, pokes and squeezes his baby sister,and constantly jabbering. I dont dare go to the store by myself and family outings are stressful and chaotic. He's been on Strattera for about a week. I see a few sideaffects such as nausea and dizziness but I dont want to put him on a stimulant drug such as Ritalin. My doctor suggest that he see a physchiatrist but I cannot find one in my area who will even evaluate my son because of his age. I'm all out of leads. Does anyone know of a phychiatrist ,physcologist or therapist who will treat my son?(California)
