SUBJECT: lump on the head
Hi
I have a 5 week old baby girl who develop a lump on her the back of her head at 3 weeks old. The doctor said that it was a form of birthmark called "hemangioma". He said that it could get bigger so we need to monitor it. So at 5 weeks old, the lump has gotten much bigger but my husband and I do not think its a form of birthmark and we are really concerned. We are going back to the doctor tomorrow so get a second opinion. I have read where it could be "hematoma". But in my case, the baby did not develop it until 3 weeks old, as oppose to right at birth. Does anyone out there know what it could be or have the same problem? Please respond if you know anything about this condition.
