I have a 5 year old that got use to my laying down with her every night and at nap time until she feel asleep. Needless to say she still wants me to lay with her which doesn't give you much hope, BUT she refers to it as our "snuggle" time and looks forward to it every day! It use to take an hour sometimes two when she was small, but now with school and playing it maybe takes 20 minutes tops and gives her GREAT memories of time with her mommy that she'll always remember! Tough it out if you can... It gets easier and is very rewarding in the end! Good luck!
