SUBJECT: Positive triple screen and scared!!!!
Hi all
I am 17 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. The doctor called today to tell me that I had an abnormal triple screen. I am at risk for neuro tubal defects. She said about 75%. That is high I think. I had the test done with 2 of my other children and decided not to have it with my first. They want me to have an amnio and I am really scared about what the turn out might be. I have had nothing but bad luck with this pregnancy. Can someone shed some light on the subject for me. I have talked to other people and they told me it is nothing to worry about and to just tell the doctors no and go on with life, but I don't think that my husband or I could raise a sick child. Thank you for your time
Michele
