SUBJECT: Visitation is too hard on her
I need advice. My daughter is almost two. Her father and I separated one month after I found out that I was pregnant. We divorced in August after a long drawn out court battle. He wanted nothing to do with her until I filed for divorce and then he asked for custody. She sees him every week for two overnights and she is miserable. She cries, won't go to him, begs for me, and when she comes home she is crazy. She cries for hours and won't let me out of her sight. She begs not to go with him but I have no recourse but to make her go. I don't know how to make it easier for her. I tell her that she will have fun and that he wants to see her. He leaves her with different sitters and she always comes home dirty and exhausted. Any advice on how to help her cope would be very welcome.
