Take her off the bus. If she is biting she needs attention. If she is biting at eight years old, she might need therapy. I am not saying you are a bad parent. Just sometimes we don't give our kids the 'right' attention. Violence comes form the feeling you can not communicate in any other way, so she needs to know she is loved and she needs to be taught other ways to express her feelings.

I would start punishing the behavior by requesting a 100 word essay every time she is violent. The essay should be about what she was feeling at the time she was violent. This will give you a great starting point to sit down and talk to your daughter about what is going on. Do not yell and scold. This must be done in a loving caring way. As girls get onlder this violent behavior to get attention is usually replaced by sexual expreimentation.

The school principal or your pediatrician should be able to give you the name of a proffessional that can help you.
