The only "need" I have is to see children treated like children and not animals. I have a need to show people that there are others out there who take the decision to have a child very seriously.

If people were not looking for genuine advice, why would they post personal problems on the internet where the whole world can read about them?

When I have a problem and ask my friends about it, I want to know what I have done wrong and how I can fix it. I do not want to be given a little pat on the back and be told everything is going to be OK. I knwo if someone does that they are not a real friend.

I have had plenty of experience working with mothers and teens who really need to change their lives. When I first started, I tried being very soft spoken. That does not work. What works is getting up in these women's faces and telling them they have made bad life decisons, are selfish and putting their needs before the needs of their children. They all throw temper tantrums just like you. As a matter of fact, most of them hate me at first, but I have only had one woman I have worked with whom I never heard from again. I get Christmas Cards from all my ladies and girls every year. These are women who five years ago the best job they could get was working at a grocery store. Now they have office jobs with potential to advance their careers, benefits and a good salary. I did not give this to them. They worked and slaved and moaned and groaned the whole way through. They are not required to come and see me three times a week, but they keep coming back. I do not do this all on donations alone. I put out my own money too. If that makes me self righteous, then so be it. This is what the Lord has told me to do. He has a plan for me that only He knows about, you do not. Some people choose to save the whales. I prefer to save the children.

The majority of people in this country think this is the way to go. President Bush has been sponsoring programs in Churches to strengthen the lives of poor uneducated single parents. Part of this program is classes on how to choose a proper mate so you do not end up in these kinds of situations. So, if you do not like these ideas, you need to write a letter to your congressman telling him that you don't lkike your tax dollars being used to help strengthen families.

When you are brought up in an advantaged environment you are taught about being socially responsible. It is the responsiblility of those with more to help out those with less.
