vaginal ultrasound-no sac

I need help! I posted on symptoms of preg. too.
The first day of my last period was August 30th.
sept. 29th i tested positive on hpt. throughout that week, i tested positive 3 more times! In addition, I have sore breasts and slight cramping. I went to the doc's today, oct.6, to confirm and she congratulated me after feeling my "soft" uterus. She estimated I was 5 weeks. Then they did a vaginal ultrasound and could NOT find a gestational sac. The lab tech said I might not be as far a long as they thought. I have to go in for more blood wed. to check if my HCG levels are doubling. I'm soooo worried that something is wrong! Does anyone know about this!!!
