 | First, my son attended Pre-k last year and while he had problems adjusting in the beginning of PreK he ended the school year wonderfully. He is a very bright child, his IQ was tested to be on the level of an 8 year old. The problems from day one of Kindergarten have been that he has been disruptive in class-not listening to the teacher, hitting the other children, calling them stupid,etc. While my son has complained about the other children as well, his reactions are what has me, his dad and the teachers concerned. In PreK he was very popular - a natural leader is what the teachers called him. The Kindergarten he is in now is regular public school, he went to PreK in a smaller school. I think he is having problems adjusting to his new environment but, I'm at my wits end. I have been up to the school twice already regarding his behavior. Oh, and most of the confrontations that he is having is with girl classmates. What is this about? Please advise. |
