SUBJECT: Writing numbers & letters backwards
My son is 7 and he seems to write some of his numbers & letters backwards. I spoke to his teacher last year and she said that it was normal for his age. But I get concerned because he has failed his eye exams at school and also at his doctors office but when he has seen the eye doctors they have said that he doesn't warrant them yet. The reason I am so concerned is because as a child I was put in all kind of special ed classes for learning disabalities and was considered to be dyslexic. And it wasn't until I was in 6th grade that they found I had major eye problems and I was not dyslexic and didn't have a learning disability it was all related to my eye problems and once I had the problems corrected with surgery I was fine. I just don't want my son to go thru years of frustration if he does have a learning disability I would like to get him the help now and if it is a problem with his eyes I want to get him help now. Is it normal for children at age 7 to write there numbers & letters backwards? If anyone has any input please post me a message.
