You must realize that most of the kids who have these clothes really can not afford them. The only reason they have them is becuse both parents have abandoned their children in the name of greed. This, like all attitudes gets passed down to the kids. These kids also feel an emptiness inside because they have no real mom or dad, just a part time one. They pick on other kids because they feel insecure about themselves. Some of these children have been in daycare since they were just infants. Your son is probably an easy target, becuase whether you work or not, it seems you are taking the time to be a parent to your child and make his life better with whatever resources you have available. Most parents today just do the wake up, drop off, pick up, feed, watch TV, go to bed.

You can insist that your child's teacher do her job. You can go down to that school and sit in the office until someone listens and comes up with a solution. Your son should not have to suffer becuase of the selfeshness of others. I woudl make surprise visits to the school as well to make sure they are doing their job.

Do you attend church? Church is a wonderful way for your son to learn about others who have endured suffering becuase they did not do the popular thing. I tell my children whenever someone picks on them that when Jesus comes to take us all to heaven, he'll be looking at the labels on our souls, not our clothes.
