I have two wonderfull children one boy that is now 3 and my daughter will be 2 in jan. My son started out sleeping in his own bed from birth then when he was around 2yr old when he got a bad cold and I wanted him to sleep with us. I don't feel that was a bad idea then because he was sick but now I would like him to sleep in his own bed,Unless he is sick! After reading everything that everyone else has written I feel bad! I am the one who gives my husband a very hard time about letting him start out during the night sleeping with us. My husband would be fine if all four of us slept in one bed all the time. I do not feel I get enough rest w/ all of us in one bed. I am a very light sleeper, and my husband sleeps like a rock! I like to make them both start out in there own beds at 8:00 pm and if they wake up and feel like they want to come in and lay with us I am fine with that. I love that my daughter is only 1 at this point and in a big girl bed and will go in and sleep in her own bed most of the time all night. But, I just feel bad that I do not like my son to sleep w/ us every night. I have always heard people say, "You don't want to get that started." I don't know maybe it is not a big deal! Just concerned how long he will want to sleep w/us.
