I know a lot about single working mothers and mothers in poverty. I do volunteer work with these women.

You made the decision to be in this predicament. The decisions you have made put you in a situation where you feel you have to expect your six year old child to work more hours each day than most adults. I am not saying you should beat yourself up or throw a pity party for yourself. I am saying that once you take responsibility for your own actions, you can move on. The past is the past. You are a woman, you are strong, and most importantly, YOU HAVE POWER! Whatever decisions you made in the past are in the past. This is today.

If you wanted to, you could get certified as a paralegal. That is a 9-5 job and many women in the profession get to set their own hours and even take their child with them to work when they need to. Some colleges even offer the courses online.

You have options, Do not lose hope. I just want you to realize that this is a problem no one can solve but yourself.
