I took her to a child psychologist today and because she suffered from neglect in her birth home she is emotionally delayed. It is just going to take a lot of time and effort to get her to feel safe. We do praise her a lot but at least now I can understand that she is emotionally behind her age and I also plan to keep seeing the therapist with her. Next time she will work with Janie alone and I am going to watch a video on behavior. I feel so relieved that the therapist seems to understand her problems and she can work with both of us to find solutions.
