I was just reading a post in the Toddler section about this very thing. I see this A LOT-Children knowing tons and tons of academics but way behind in social skills. It is perfectly normal these days. This is why I always advise parents not to focus on academics when their children are little.

The teacher you have selected for your son sounds very inexperienced and I would certainly look into another situation for him.

What I would do after getting rid of his teacher as quickly as possible, is to find another activity for him to do after school that you know he will not be the best at. A lot of times this will help the perfectionist in children who have always had thngs come easily to them.
