SUBJECT: Suggestion for brushing teeth on Toddler
Hi everyone...I am looking for some ideas on how to keep a 17 month old interested in brushing teeth. When he started getting his teeth, I purchased the proper toothbrush and we started a routine. It worked great for awhile, until he started getting more teeth. Now, he won't even let me near his mouth with a toothbrush. I am back to using a washcloth with some children's toothpaste on it. It is so hard now because he has most of his teeth and is biting me when I use the washcloth. If I try the toothbrush he bites down on that, too. I have tried games, character toothbrushes, him brushing my teeth, etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I just want him to have nice, healthy teeth and not have to start a war to get the job done. Hopefully some of you can relate. Thanks in advance for the advice.
