I don't know what else to do anymore to help her. She hold's her bm for sometimes over a week causing severe constipation and extremely large peices of(you know what) when she does finally go. I've tried several different laxative's and stool softeners and they help get the bm out but they don't help with the psychological part in my daughters head. She thinks it's going to hurt when she has to go. So, she runs and hide's from us and hold's it in, but majority of the time some of it comes out and she refuses to let us change her soiled clothes and clean her up.
It obviously is going to hurt when it does finally come out if you keep holding it in, but explain that to a 4 year old.
I have tried everything from sitting in the bathroom reading books to her while she's sitting on the toilet. To telling her she can't get off untill she goes. This is driving me crazy, I buy a new package of panties every other week, please somebody help me, tell me what I can do to help her before I lose my mind. | |  | |
