SUBJECT: HELP!!!!?????Switch to Alimentum
My two week old newborn was just diagnosed with reflux. So they think that is what the problem is. She cries for hours upon end especially one to two hours after eating and has alot of gas. The doctor put her on zantac and suggested mylicon drops. He said not to switch her formula because she is not vomiting or spitting up. Although I think the similac advanced with Iron maybe a little two hard on her bellie. She seems to be bothered at periods when her GI system would be trying to digest it. I thought of making the switch to Alimentum myself because it states that it is easier for them to digest and helps with crying spells. Anyone have any suggestions or advice for me. I don't want to harm her by making the switch although i don't want her in pain anymore and maybe this change of formula can help her. She is pretty much crying during all wakeful periods! Thanks, Tracey
