 | :o) you know I think with her being almost 6 it sounds like its attention. you say don't so lets do it. My 8 year old son knows I don't like wet kisses, wipe off the lips, he thinks its funny, so when its bed time and I come in for a good night hug and a peck, he will wet his lips just before a smooch good night....he thinks its funny because I tell him not to...... sooooo I hug him good night, tell him I love him, but no thank you I would not like a kiss from him if he can't respect how I feel. so he wipes off his lips.
Make her feel loved, and give those hugs, but she needs to learn she has to think of daddy/mommy and know she has to make ya'll happy. I would say " thank you honey, but since you can't close your mouth I will just take a sweet hug from you, when you want to close your mouth, daddy would love a smooch from you" I hope this helps. Don't show to much attention to it, that will only make it a game.
