Constipated 9 1/2 month old...

Does anyone have any suggestions for my older infant, I saw the wonderful suggestions for the posting about the constipated newborn. I was wondering if there is something else I could do for an older baby.

My son is the type that usually moves his bowels at least 3 times a day. For the last two days he's been straining so hard that it makes him cry and barely anything comes out. I feel so bad for the little guy.

Today I fed him prune baby food for both breakfast and lunch. I also gave him fruit and diluted apple juice. He still hasn't had any luck.

Please help.
