I agree with connorsmom. He may be bored. Have a talk with the school counceler and see what they think. He may need to skip ahead which may not be a bad thing afterall. My son does have simmilar traits but I have tried ADHD medicines which seem to work on some issues. (Strattera) but this in my opinion isn't your sons problem. I have noticed though that since my son has started the meds, so far he is tops in his class for almost everything, reading, writting as well as MATH (and size). He is the youngest in the class and I was originally told to hold him back but I couldn't imagine that now. He has even breezed thru his in school homework and helped other students with the work. Not sure what the future holds but he is a smart child. He just needs to be challenged. I feel the same way after reading about your son. Good luck.
