SUBJECT: Clapping!!!
Hi there.
My daughter is now 10-1/2 months old and has NO DESIRE to clap at all!!!! I have been trying for months and months now! I try to play patty cake, and by the time I get to roll it, she is bored and wants to get away from me. I clap all the time to her to try and encourage her, and I get nothing in response!!!

I really am not worried about it, but just can't understand why she is not doing it? Or should I be worried?

I know that babies learn by imitation. I read in a book that they usually will be doing it be "around 30 weeks". Well..... my daughter must not have read that page! ha!

Any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks, and take care.

Michelle
