SUBJECT: Should my 2.5 year old have a social life?
Hello! I am a new mem. of this and just read some mess. looking for answers about my 2.5 year old.
I have stayed at home with him from birth and am looking for some social activities for him. He gets along great with other children, esp. those who are a year or two older. He is advanced a year or so, and I am thinking of pre-school for him. He does know is alphabet(not just the song), his numbers, colors, listening skills, art skills, thinks he can read(but he just makes up the story or words), hand-eye cord. and thats all I can think of for now. Do you think he needs a "social life" at 2.5 years, or does that really matter at this age? I am sure he would do well all around and enjoy it but I'm just not quite sure that it's what I want right now. He would only be there 2 or 3 days a week and absolutly NOT 8 hours a day. This is what peers, etc. have been telling me(that he NEEDS to be in a daycare or preschool).
Does anyone have any imput for me?
Greatly Appreciative!
