SUBJECT: I need some advice for help with my 11 year old son
Since the time that he was born I was a single mom up until April of 2000. we had a neighbor that was a friend that grew into more. eventually this man moved in with us (not before getting my sons ok) everything was great.we are now married. he is being a father to my son (something that he has never known) he is a wonderful husband and provider.
we have since had a child together. a little girl who my son adores. he loves being a big brother.
However, we have started to have some problems with him and we don't know how to handle it anymore. he delibertly disobeys us time and time again. he lies all the time. I never know when he is telling the truth. we punish him and take things away but nothing seems to help the situation. when things get back to normal he just goes it blows it for himself again. we are really at our wits end because nothing seems to work with him. I am starting to feel like I don't know how to be a mother anymore. any suggestions would be helpful.
