TAMPON HELP!!!!!!

Hi,
I have quite a few questions!
1)I started my period last month and I found pads really uncomfortable. I would like to try a tampon next period. Is it ok to do this? Also,To be prepared I tried to insert one,and I got into a hole but im scared it might be the wrong one! i diddnt want to push anyfurther just in case! Its quite far back,But not quite my anal hole! Is this the right one?? Even tho i know u shuldnt wear a tampon unless your on,I just want to be prepared! Is it ok to insert one fully,as long as i take it out again after??? Please answer as soon as possible! Thanks!
