Thank you so much for your reply, the support is so great. It's comforting to know that we're not the only ones facing this issue. We haven't come up with any bright ideas yet, except we're going to try putting a large foamy mattress in our room, next to the bed. Our "plan" is to try and get her used to sleeping on her own, but with us in the room. With the large foamy I have less concern about her thrashing around and falling off a mattress. She, too, is an active sleeper and would no doubt fall off a mattress within minutes of falling asleep. At least with her in the room with us, but NOT in our bed, we're hoping to begin the slow process of breaking a habit that we created out of the best intentions. I'll keep you posted on the success or failure of this attempt. Thanks again for responding.
