I am a mom responding to your message . I have 4 kids the oldest one just turned 18 in August , I am a very different and unique parent and I have questioned myself alot if I have made the right choices with her.She went through this stage of goth/punk/ska ...dyed her hair vampire red and I decided to help her instead of pushing her away and telling her no . I took her shopping at hot topic , bought her the coolest clothes , and they are expensive!! but it did not seem to matter , she was a good student but the teachers in her school really did not give her a hard time. I was only called to the office once and that was because Lauren was reading books on witchcraft . I laughed and said yeah I know ,I gave them to her .I own a New Age Store and these books are from there .I went in all dressed in black with my pentacle on , I was not changing for any body and thats what I taught my daughter to do . Well ,I think now I have a spoiled lil 18 yr old on myhands and want to strangle her at times , It never gets easy for us either . Now I am dealing with a 14 yr old that wants to wear booty shorts and listens to ashanti instead of manson and kittie , What do I do?? AAAAAHHHHH
