Both my boys 4 and 5 are going to a Montessori school in California. Wow! I can't tell you how impressed I've been at the way they teach their students and how much they've learned since they've been attending. They only downside is that academically they're so far ahead I didn't know if public school was going to challenge them enough and I was hesitant to enroll my 5yr old in a public school this year but we did. He's almost 6 and he's going into second grade. We'll see how it goes.

I have all these thoughts going through my head. My friend is a 1st grade teacher in a public school and every year, her "problem kid" is the one that is the most advanced because they JUST GET PLAIN OLD BORED and they stop paying attention. My fear is that that will be MY kid.

We'll see!
