 | Hey!!! That is great news about the wedding. Congratulations! I know it is very challenging to plan a wedding in 3 months. I planned my wedding in 3 months too but I wasn't pregnant at the time. I can just imagine how tough it is for you, but it will be worth it. That's great that you are going on a honeymoon. Enjoy this time for the two of you. About the ultrasound.....there is no need to be scared. When I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, it was the most thrilling feeling in the world. I saw the little heartbeat and the shape of the baby. Of course at that time, you couldn't really see the shape very good, but I knew it was my baby. Since you are having one at 12 weeks, you will probably be able to hear the heartbeat while you are viewing the ultrasound. I can't wait until I have my ultrasound at 18 weeks. I hope that they will be able to see the sex of the baby. I have not bought any big items for the baby yet. I'm not really sure where to begin, but I have some friends that are lending me carseats and strollers, etc. I am definitely going to take them up on their offers. Every little bit will help. How about you? Do you have anything yet? Do you have a room in the house picked out for the nursery? I have no idea how I'm going to decorate, but it will come to me. I'm not very good at the decorating thing, but I will do my best to make it look "baby friendly". Oh, you asked the question about having sex while you are pregnant. My doctor told me that having sex is perfectly fine as long as I am not spotting or bleeding. I did have some spotting for a few weeks in my first trimester, so I had to abstain for those few weeks. Now that the spotting is gone, I have resumed having sex. There is no risk associated to having sext if you have a bicornuate uterus, so we're fine. I think they only other time that the doctor would suggest abstaining is if it's toward the end of the pregnancy and we are at risk for preterm labor. Hey, you mentioned in an earlier message that you were afraid that you were going to be taken out of work early? Well, I asked my doctor the same question, and she told me that there have been many pregnant patients with a bicornuate uterus that have had a full term pregnancy and delivered naturally, so there is a chance for you and me to do the same. I know it's hard not to worry, but you will enjoy your pregnancy alot more if you let it go and just take it day by day. Besides, it sounds like you are going along just fine. I think after your ultrasound, you will probably feel much more reassured that everything is going good. Sorry for the long message, but sometimes I can't shut up about this pregnancy thing. It's really a whole new exciting world! Well, talk to ya later. |
