 | Hello, I have traveled from Toronto Canada to Eugene, Oregon 3 times with my daughter and once with our son. she was 8 weeks the first time 1 year the second and 2 the third, the first two times she was happy and didnt make a peep, this last time tho was a different story, the takeoff's and landings and turbulance upset her. I do also recommend buying a seat for your daughter and if you do you MUST use a car seat(the airline requires it if you buy a seat for a infant under 2 years old) certified for plane travel,(most are). The airline will also stow a stroller for you at the door of the plane and have it waiting for you when you get off. You will be able to pre-board with the first and business class. Be prepaired and go early for the security screening, they are very strict and inspect everything now. I even had to drink some of my daughters formula once so I suggest not giving her a bottle while going thru security. Bring her favorite toys, pacifier if you use one, anything she loves and will make her happier. It's not easy but can be done and most babies seem to do fine. The time difference didnt bother my kids going and just took a few days after we got home to get them back on this time. Most important of all, try to stay calm and unflustered, your daughter will pick up on your nervousness. You will do fine, I have seen many infants on planes and most do well. Also I'm hoping its a good sized plane, try to get a seat close to the bathroom for changing diapers and bring some kind of disinfectant wipes for the pull down change table. Good luck |
