SUBJECT: Hello from Indiana.... long story.. need help.
My wife Rachael & I had our first baby, Madeline Sept 23rd last year. She's almost a year old now. We were planning on waiting a couple years before trying for another one. My wife is on the pill, and takes them every morning at 7:00 like clockwork. She even sets the alarm!
Anyway, she thought she was just having a rough pms stage this month, but never actually started. After talking to her doctor, she assured us tht she probably wasn't pregnant if she took the pill that faithfully. She was told to take a home pregnancey test before coming in... just to rule that out.
Well, it came out positive... That was yesterday. We are still in shock. I'm actually OK with it, although it will take some adjustments. I was just getting used to having Madeline around! My wife is not having as good a time. She is angry, and bitter. She "says" she wouldn't be upset if we lost this one. She is a planner, and this obviously isn't in her master plan. I suggested maybe going to see a counseler or something. I'm hoping when we tell our parents, maybe she;ll talk to them, and they'll make her feel happier about it. Maybe it'll just take some time for her to accept it.
Anyway, I hope someone might have some good advice for us.
Thanks.
David
