Hi Tena,

I haven't talked to you in a while. Wow, twins! Congratulations.

A woman in my playgroup is expecting a baby in October. She also has a 17 month old. Like you, she wanted to transition her daughter into a toddler bed before the baby arrived. She just transitioned her daughter into a toddler bed with no problems. The first night, her daughter cried and ran to the door. SHe had to go in and stroke her head until she feel asleep. SHe was fine in the bed after about two days (didn't take a nap on the second day).

I can understand why you would want to transition your son before the twins arrive. I think it may be a good idea to wait as long as you can to make the transition. It also depends on the temperament of the child. I'm sure some do better with the transition than others. Anyway, I just wanted to share this story with you.

Good luck with everything!
