IN REPLY TO: changing from crib to bed

I honestly think you will know when it is time. My 21 month old daughter jumped out of her crib 2 weeks ago and then out of her pack and play the next night. SO the crib came down and we transitioned her to the twin bed. I have notice that when she has napped on the couch before that she could detect when she was too close to the edge and would shift to a safer spot, so I have no worries of her falling out of the bed. I did have to work with her and get a child proof door knob. 2 nights after the childproof door knob, SHE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! She gets a little upset when you leave her, but last night she cried for 4 minutes and was asleep.
