SUBJECT: Daughter and half-brother
My ex-husband had a relationship with a woman which ended just over a year and a half ago. In June 2002 she had a son, who my ex-husband denies is his, but I have little doubt that it is. The child looks just like our three year old and his now eight year old daughter who was adopted out at birth. I have recently decided that the two should know each other, and the mother of the boy is agreeable to this, I want to make sure that the boy and my daughter grow up knowing one another, but my ex still denies paternity of this child. My daughter and her father were very close until 5 months ago when I relocated to anther state and he wasn't able to see her everyday, but when they resume visitation, I don't want him poisoning her mind with the idea that the child doesn't belong to him, what do I do, and am I doing the wrong thing by getting involved?
