I just want to let you know I am in the same boat as you, I moved to Pennsylvania from California a couple years ago. It was a difficult decision, but their father never seeked them out anyway to try to maintain a relationship. It took him 3 months to figure out I had left Calif. My kids ages are 9, 6, & 5, the older two have figured out on their own how selfish their father is and I have never bad mouthed him in their presence. My youngest still hasn't figured it out, but he eventually will, once that day comes we just need to be there as a parent and comfort them. Tell your daughter it's nothing she did wrong, some people just don't know how to appreciate God's gifts. I tell my children that their father doesn't deserve to have such great children, and I tell them they need to strive for success, so when it's all said and done, they can proudly say " I am a success, and I did it without my father ", it seems to cheer them up and it reminds them just because there dad is not around nothing should be out of reach.
