SUBJECT: The Double Standard
As I am reading though the discussions I notice that most of the compalints are about how one girl at school is allowed to wear something but you are not. That is a double standard and something has to be done about it. The sad fact is the standard is carried into societies work place. If you look good and attractive in what you are wearing then it is acceptable for you to be braking the rules and wearing something that is not in the dress code. However if someone thinks that you are not attractive or that you are being provoctive or that you are not their idea of what you should look like wearing that then you are asked to change. The skinny girls with the nice legs can wear shorts that look like my tube top would have more fabric on it then their entire outfit. If you have a little more meat on your bones then most people you are asked to change your cloths becuase you do not look like the other picture perfect girls. Young women need to start standing up for their right of expression. If the outift is against the rules then you need to point that out to the administration in an appropriate way. Or take pictures of the girls and document the days then take the dress code issue to the school board. It should enfoced for everyone not just the people that are dressing the way the teachers think looks nice.
