I work in a Montessori school and have three children ages 10, 7 and 2 enrolled since Kindergarden. I love and believe in the Montessori way of teaching. Our goal is to provide a peaceful learning environment utilizing the philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, where each child is respected and treated as an individual. We strive to develop a community where children have opportunities to make choices, thereby fostering independence, self-esteem and self-discipline. Our role as teachers is to nurture and serve each child's natural curiosity and to develop an openness to the unlimited possibilities of life. We believe that each child can make a difference. By developing a sense of responsibility for themselves and others, each child has the opportunity to become an active and productive member of our society.
