Hello Lisa,
My son will be 2 in November. He went to a toddler bed at nineteen months. He took the transition VERY WELL. He lays right down in it for me for a nap and at bedtime. He doesn't even cry. He started sleeping through the night when I moved him to it also. Of course, all kids are different.
