I would consider waiting as long as possible to move him from his crib (I want to keep mine in his crib as LONG as possible - until he is crawling out). Are you buying a second crib? I would probably let both twins sleep in the same crib for a while (until they are rolling), then maybe try doing one in a pack-n-play or something temporary until he is ready to give up the crib. I have friends with three kids who NEVER had a crib - only a pack-n-play.

I am expecting in October and have an 18-month old. I am planning on doing a pack-n-play until the oldest is ready for a bed. If it gets to be over a year, I may buy another crib, but I definately do not want to move him out just to give the crib to the next kid. I think beds just bring a whole set of sleep problems that I would like to avoid for as long as possible!

Congratulations on the twins, and good luck!
