SUBJECT: Feeding issues with tongue-tied 9 month old
My son is 9 months old. When he was 1 month old the pediatrician told us he was tongue-tied. The problem I'm having with him is he isn't eating solids regularly yet. He likes cheerios. He refuses any baby food or baby cereal or yogurt. Occasionally he will eat a small amount of adult food (bread, waffle, hot dog, noodles, hamburger, beans, etc). Do you think the problem he's having with eating has anything to do with him being tongue-tied? He is a breastfed baby, refuses the bottle, and now will suck from a sippy cup occasionally. Any advice or help would be great. I don't want to have to nurse him forever! My baby needs to learn how to eat! Help!
