SUBJECT: Getting pregnant after being on the pill
I was on the pill for 7 years. I stopped taking them in October 01'. I have been doing my BBT charting and have had extremly irregular cycles. Since oct. i have had 3 periods. My first cycle was pretty normal. 2nd one lasted 40 some days. And this last one lasted 50 some days. I was told that I may not even be ovulating. My husband and I are very anxious to have a baby. I have an 8 year old daughter and it was SO easy to get pregnant with her (we were not trying and were using condoms). I am worried that being on the pill so long has effected my ability to become pregnant. Has anyone had this problem? I asked every time I seen a GYN when on the pill if being on the pill for years was going to affect me later when I wanted more children. I was always told no. Now I am not so sure they were right.
