I have to say that reading all of your messages has been an inspiration! I have had three c-sections, my third one this past January. I am 34. My first to pre-eclampsia at 18, my second failure to progress at 23, and now my son, due to high blood pressure! Because my husband and I are a blended family, and this is our first together, we want to have one more, especially since the age ranges in our kids are such that our two 16 year olds are gone in two years, the twins gone in 5 years, and my 10 year old in 8 years, we don't want the little guy to be all alone! I did have a lot of scar tissue and the 3rd surgery took longer, about 40 minutes, and the recovery time was longer and more painful (a LOT more painful) than I remembered it being. I have my sixth month check-up this week, but so far, no one has mentioned I shouldn't have another. But oh was it worth it! So much so, that I'd do it again in a heartbeat! It's great to know that it's possible to have another and we plan to try in a year or so. One note of recommendation, I had such a horrible gas pain in my shoulder (YES MY SHOULDER) from the surgery, that excruciating doesn't even begin to describe it (I was screaming, when I tried to getting up, it made it worse! It was like someone stabbing me between the shoulder blade!) The BIG secret medical cure? A tablespoon or two of Milk of Magnesia, it killed it in 20 minutes. I had NEVER had that happen before and I'm bringing my own bottle with me next time! I was in pain like that for 24 hours until somebody finally figured it out, if it happens to you, don't wait, just ask for it!
